INFORMATION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITERCTURE CANDIDATES:
FIRST LEVEL STUDIES - ADDITIONAL EXAM
SECOND LEVEL STUDIES - INTERVIEW

First level studies:

on-line registration completion: 09th July, 2018 at 13.00

Admission to the Ist cycle studies is based on selected results of the secondary school leaving examinations / Matura and in case of the Department of Architecture, passing the additional exam is also taken into consideration being a necessary condition for admission to the studies under question. The additional exam includes three parts checking candidates’ predispositions for initiating the chosen field of study.

Both the first and the second parts of the exam will take place on 11th July, 2018

The exam will start at 9.00. The place and the classroom will be assigned after the IRK system processes all the recruitment data (i.e. choosing the faculty, issuing payment, providing data from the maturity exam certificate including notes or points).

Candidates are asked to arrive at around 8.20 to the indicated location.

Candidates who will not complete the registration process successfully (by choosing the faculty, issuing payment, providing data from the Matura certificate including notes or points) within the specified time frames and, consequently, the IRK system will not assign any place and classroom of the additional exam; will not be allowed to take the exam.

Due to the fact that the time between issuing the payment till registering it on the OUTech account sometimes lasts a couple of days (it is dependent on the place and method of payment), it is advisable to transfer the fee a couple of days before the on-line registration process ends. After issuing the payment and evidencing it by the system, it is possible to continue the registration process (typing in the notes, among others). 

The 1st part involves imaginative skills drawing (2 academic hours).
The 2nd part involves imaginative skills drawing with elements of geometry (2 academic hours).
Candidates are requested to bring their own 50x70 size drawing boards (stiff undercover recommended) and an ID document. The technique of drawing: in pencil.

The results of both exam parts will be announced on 12th July, 2018.

Positive opinion generated by the assessing Committee qualifies candidates to take part in the third part of the exam.

The 3rd part of the exam will take place on 13th July, 2018.

The exam starts at 9:00. The candidates are requested to arrive at the indicated location about 8.20. 

The 3rd part involves an atelier drawing from nature (3 academic hours).

Candidates are requested to bring their own 50x70 size drawing boards (stiff undercover recommended) and an ID document. The technique of drawing: in pencil.

Candidates work by easels and may organize their time accordingly (e.g. go out for breaks).

In accordance with “the Recruitment Conditions and Requirements at Opole University of Technology for the academic year 2018/2019”:

  • 20. Candidates
  • applying for admission at the department of architecture are obliged to take an additional exam – involving a freehand drawing, for which it is possible to obtain 300 points maximum. The condition to be accepted for passing the exam is obtaining 100 points minimum.

Each part of the additional exam is assessed within the range of 0 to 100 points.

The qualification results (additional exam grade plus maturity exam grades) will be published on 17th July, 2018, at about 10.00 on the individual accounts in the IRK system.

The collection of documents from the qualified people as well as from the reserve lists people will start on 23rd July, 2018, according to the recruitment schedule.

Second level studies:

on-line registration completion: 09th July, 2018 at 13.00

The basic requirement for admission to the second level studies at the department of architecture is a graduation diploma of the first level studies and a BSc degree in architecture. The candidates applying to be admitted to the second level studies and fulfilling this criterion are obliged to proceed to the interview with the Qualification Committee for the second level studies and present their portfolio covering their project achievement gathered during first level studies. During the interview, the candidates may win 5 points maximum. The decisive criterion for admission to the second level studies at the department of architecture is receiving at least 2- point result.

The interview will take place on 12th July 2018

The interview will start at 10.00. The location and the classroom will be assigned by the IRK system after the IRK system processes all the recruitment data (i.e. choosing the faculty, issuing payment, providing data from first level studies diploma).

The candidates are requested to arrive at about 9.20 to the indicated location.
